Submission / The Live Feedback Thread
« on: May 14, 2013, 07:34:59 PM »
Hello arrangers. Over the past few days I have been experimenting with something new, and am now ready to open up a new thread for it: The Live Feedback Thread. The live feedback thread basically it works like a master class. Arrangers bring their arrangements, and I'll walk them through what we're looking for in a quality arrangement. I will broadcast my mouse cruiser and speak through a mic, while all the arranger has to do is use the text-based chat.(though it's not limited to just that) So far this system has proven to be faster and more beneficial to the arranger, as they can get quick and clear answers as to why their sheet isn't Accepted.

The chat room is: http://tinychat.com/olimar12345
and the password is: olimarisawesome

From now on, I'll post when I'm online.

EDIT: To make things EVEN faster, we now have a dropbox folder just for this topic. If you would like to be added to it, pm me your email address. If not, I'll just post your sheet somewhere for you to download.

As of right now, I am the only updater to do this. If you have any questions ask Me (post 'em here, PM me, etc.)

Art / The NSM School Work Paper Doodles things thread of sorts...
« on: January 19, 2013, 03:06:30 AM »
Post yo doodles here.
This isn't the place for really nice artwork, but rather a place for things that you drew on, say, the side of your notes for algebra class or something. so in other words, you don't have to be an artist to post here!

EXAMPLE:

found this in an old music theory binder xD

Movies & TV / MLPFIM Discussion Thread
« on: January 10, 2013, 04:04:33 AM »
It has been brought to my attention that we need one of these here at NSM, so here you go. This thread will be for the general discussion of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The poll is subject to change, so for this first one, select your two favorite ponies from the mane six.

My favorite two are Rarity and Rainbow Dash xD

Forum Games / Quote hunting!
« on: December 03, 2012, 05:02:06 AM »
Lol I haven't posted in the forum games section in a while, so her u go.

Simple game: find this quote somewhere in the forums and post it here, as you would post a normal quote(with the link and stuffs). Whomever finds it does the next one.

RULES
-Onln quote messages from this forum.
-Only quote messages that are currently available to the general public. (no pm's, chat, etc.)

Here's the first one:

Quote
I AM DEFINITELY NOT STALKING YOU. THAT WOULD BE ABSURD. PREPOSTEROUS. OUTRAGEOUS. CORRECT. NEVER MIND THAT LAST ONE.

Submission / Submissions for the Next Update
« on: November 10, 2012, 07:42:20 PM »
PLEASE READ
Things for this update will be different.

Post a maximum of 4 Submissions, includes new and replacements.

In order to make these updates faster and more efficient, there will be new guidelines on HOW to post them here:

1) Make a SINGLE post with your four pieces. Any other posts will be deleted. Disscussion about ones pieces between members should take place in their own thread.
2) Submit sheets using ONLY dropbox. It's more efficient and safer than mediafire.
3) Put all of your files (MUS, Midi, and PDF) for all of your sheets in one .ZIP folder. This means that every post should have only one link to all of the sheets.
4) Before posting, be sure that your sheets are in tip-top shape (i.e. formatted to perfection, well arranged, etc.)

Here's an example of what your post here should look like:

Here are the Formatting Rules. Please read & follow them, it makes things easier and it makes the site look more professional. If a sheet is not formatted properly, I won't even bother to review your trascription. Sorry, but if you're not going to follow simple guidelines, why should I care? :P

Please provide PDF, MUS, and MIDI format, and make sure to write the arranger name in your post, if it is not your own username. Just to avoid mix-ups

Submissions will close after 10 replys. Andddddddddd, GO!

Art / Olimar's Skull Kid Costume (Final Pics Up!)
« on: September 01, 2012, 04:58:39 PM »
About a month ago, a group of friends and I decided that we were going to the renaissance festival for halloween. So we're all gonna dress up n stuff. As the title says, I'm going as Skull Kid from the Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and I'll be posting pics of my progress in this topic. Last night we started making our masks:

9/1/12

Before the paper mache:

After the first layer of paper mache:

More pics tonight hopefully...

9/2/12

Did some eye work:

Aftr

The eyes look screwed up in this pic, but it's because of the angle of the pic. They're fine, irl.

10/13/12

Need to start working on this again-did another small layer:

Temporary computer get!

Mask's done.

On Thursday:
I finished the hat and gloves today,

And on Saturday:

Before I left for the festival, I felt the need to dance around my kitchen while Saria's song played. Here's a pic:

Me at the festival:

I saw like 9 Links at the fair, but these two were my favorite:

Link and Navi:

And this amazing TP Link:

Help! / Percussion Sounds in Finale
« on: August 31, 2012, 08:35:21 PM »
I need percussion to playback correctly so I can export an mp3(something I don't normally care about). Unfortunately, I can't get the Vibraslap, Ratchet, or Wind Chimes to playback. Anyone out there know about percussion midi mapping, or something?

Like the title suggests, just post obscure messages from games. Just for a quick laugh.

Ex: If playing Pikmin has tought me anything, it's that I shouldn't try to drink and drive. :J

Nintendo / How many Legend of Zelda titles have you beaten?
« on: April 04, 2012, 10:20:15 PM »
Title says it all. No spin-offs, remakes, or other odd games-just the timeline games here.

I've beaten them all except for The Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past, Majora's Mask, Oracle of Seasons/Ages, Four Swords Adventures.

Almost beat alttp, mm, and oos, until something stopped me-either system malfunction or save data corruption...

Help! / Creating Two-bar repeats
« on: March 30, 2012, 06:22:53 AM »
Can printmusic 2011 do this? I can do a one-bar repeat by right clicking a measure-alternate notation-apply alternate notation-Onebar repeat. Is there a way to add a two-bar repeat to the list?

For those of you who don't know what I mean, it sorta looks like this:   o//o
